What the organisations are publishing

Headlines from 47 organisations’ own feeds, newest first. Each one is the publisher’s own headline, linking to the publisher’s own page. Nothing is reproduced beyond the headline, nothing is ranked, and nothing here is this site’s view of anything.

confirmed 19 minutes ago. Each feed is re-read every 6 hours, 8 at a time, using the conditional request its own server offers — so a feed that has not changed costs it nothing to serve.

Whose feeds these are

Two kinds of publisher, marked apart because a page assembled only from one of them would be one-sided by construction on every subject the other is contesting. A sector body is a governing or membership body for an activity involving animals — shooting, grouse moor management, angling, horse racing, greyhound racing, pigeon racing. The rest are organisations whose stated purpose is animal welfare, rescue or protection. Neither label is a judgement about anybody, and appearing here is not endorsement by this site.

All 47 feeds, and when each last published

3 feeds are not answering at the moment. That is reported rather than hidden: it means this page is not carrying what that organisation is saying, which is a gap in the page and not in them.

Who is missing, and why

Every organisation in the directory with a website was probed for a feed — the declared feed link on its homepage first, then the conventional addresses. Of 125, 61 publish something a machine can read and 47 of those are current and are news. Reading what the rest published dropped four more: the default feed of one common content system lists everything recently created, which for two of them was individual animals waiting to be rehomed. A rehoming listing republished here would still be here after the animal went home.

These publish no feed at all, so nothing they say appears above:

RSPCA · Dogs Trust · Cats Protection · PDSA · RSPB · The Wildlife Trusts · League Against Cruel Sports · Compassion in World Farming · The Donkey Sanctuary · World Horse Welfare

Countryside Alliance · Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust · National Farmers’ Union · British Veterinary Association · Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons · The Kennel Club

That is a real limit on this page and worth knowing before reading it as a picture of the sector: several of the largest organisations on both sides are absent for no reason other than the software their websites run. The only way to include them would be to scrape their news pages, which would break at the next redesign and would be taking something rather than reading what was offered.

What this page does not do

It does not reproduce any part of an article, summarise one, rank them, or say which are worth reading. It does not carry images. A headline appearing here is the publisher’s own wording and this site’s only claim about it is that they published it on that date. Where a headline concerns something contested, the organisation it concerns will have its own account of it — look for them in the list above, or go to their site.

Any publisher who would rather not appear can say so through the contact page and the feed will be removed. Method last reviewed 24 August 2026. Bills are on the bills page, government consultations on the consultations page, and written answers on the written answers page.
